Review of the Coleman Translucent Twin Quickbed With 4D Pump

!±8± Review of the Coleman Translucent Twin Quickbed With 4D Pump

The Coleman Translucent Twin Quickbed with 4D Pump is an inflatable bed that is mainly intended for convenience and temporary use, but some people do use it as their primary bed. Standard sheets fit on the mattress and the top is a soft suede. The mattress also features coils that conform to your body's shape. The bed when inflated is 74 x 39 x 8.5 inches. Air is easily added by using the included rechargeable 4D QuickPump.

This bed features Coleman's Airtight System, which is a double lock valve (which opens wide enough for fast inflation and deflation) and a PVC formula that is designed to be significantly puncture resistant and able to withstand much pressure.

I bought this bed as a "quickbed" for guests. It does not take up a lot of space, looks nice, and I find it to be comfortable and when I lie on it. I especially notice how there are no pressure points, unlike many conventional mattresses. I also thought it inflated quickly and I also appreciated that the pump can go in reverse to deflate the bed quickly.

I found it to hold air reasonably well, but I noticed that I did have to add at least some air every few nights to maintain the proper pressure. Some owners, however, report serious air loss on an almost nightly basis. This may be a problem with the air pumps.

Be warned that if you inflate and deflate the mattress often, you will somewhat quickly go through the D batteries, which are rather expensive. However, the battery powered pump is great if you take the bed camping since you can quickly and easily inflate the bed without needing any electricity.

Soft Heat Luxury Micro-Fleece Low-Voltage Electric Heated Queen Size Blanket, Natural

We’ve designed a safe and incredibly soft electric blanket that is probably one of the most comfortable blankets you'll ever have the luxury of snuggling up in. This electric blanket starts with super soft micro-plush fabric and decorative triple-ribbed design that is refreshingly smooth next to your skin for the ultimate in luxurious comfort. Constructed within the blanket is the patented Safe & Warm low-voltage technology. This low-voltage blanket includes a small power supply box that changes 120 volt AC home current into non-hazardous low voltage DC current (very similar to a battery) to provide warmth, protection and safety even if the blanket becomes wet. Unlike other warming blankets with their thick bulky wires, the wires in the Soft Heat blankets are so small and thin; they are virtually unnoticeable. During construction we place the thin wires 3-inches apart and evenly distribute them from head to toe. The benefit to you is a blanket that gives more of an even heat and all over penetrating warmth with no annoying hot or cold spots. The queen size blanket is divided in two separate zones and comes standard with two easy to read, easy to turn, non-slip computerized controllers to adjust the temperature of each side of the bed giving individual comfort and control. A giant backlit display with auto dimming feature provides more convenience for night time adjustments with out having to turn on the lights. It has an automatic pre-heat and hold feature that makes sure that your bed is warm and cozy before you climb in for the night. You simply turn it on and the blanket will warm up on HI until it reaches the temperature that you pre set your dial on and then adjusts itself to hold it there. For your safety, convenience and power conservation it has an automatic shut off feature that will shut the blanket off after 10 hours just in case you forget. It also comes standard with built in over-temperature protection for that extra bit of safety and peace of mind.

Heat often relaxes the body muscles and gives a soothing feeling. It provides comforts to the pain areas, especially if it is do with lower back pain. A heated mattress pad is probably the most revolutionary and easily accessible method of relieving pain and muscle spasm of lower back. As you know, lower back pain is one of the most common phenomenons in America today.

Relaxing With a Heated Mattress Pad

A heated mattress provides pain relief from lower back, arthritis and other muscle or joint problems. It is much better than having an electric blanket covering you. Scientifically speaking, heat always moves upwards, so it is better to have heat rise up from the lower part of your body to spread to other areas, rather than have it blown away in the air. This way your bed would heat in an efficient manner and attain that requisite warmth.

There are various kinds of heated mattress pads available in the market today. They come in various sizes and colors. One of the most popular is the Pillow Top Heated Mattress pad. This is also the most luxurious heated mattress pad in the world. It has 200-thread count cotton filled with 100 percent polyester cluster fiber and is approximately 1/2" thick. Moreover, this mattress pad comes with digital control. All you have to do is set your comfort level and let the system take control from there. The system senses and responds to the temperature of your room and your body and adjusts itself accordingly.

The normal therapeutic temperature is 400 C or 1040 F. At this temperature, blood flow increases and helps in reducing stiffness, relaxing sore muscles and provides a soothing comfort. Heat is normally preferred over cold for chronic lower back pain and arthritis. You need to apply heat for at least 20 minutes to get complete relief. And then, you would be as good as before!
